Riccardo Joseph CavaioliRiccardo Joseph Cavaioli, 96 of Leominster, died peacefully in his home after a brief illness on Saturday January 15, 2011. He was born in Leominster, son of the late Nicola and Filomena (Monaco) Cavaioli and was predeceased by his loving wife Louise and his brothers Elio and Joseph Cavaioli. He graduated from Leominster High School in 1933. He served as a U.S. Marine in WWII as a member of Marine Air Wing III. For 35 years, he was co-owner of Superior Comb Company in Leominster and retired in 1980. He was a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge of Leominster, Saint Anna's Parish, and a proud member of the Leominster High School, undefeated, 1932 Hall of Fame football team. He leaves daughters Carol and Linda Cavaioli, grandchildren Michael Millette, Richard Millette, Evan Medbury, Kyla Ryan, Paul Medbury, Jennifer Grebel, and Benjamin Medbury. He also leaves thirteen great grandchildren, Henry, Sophie, Lillian, Cyrena, Griffin, Tyler, Lissette, George, Colin, Emily, Claire, Aidan, and Aaron as well as many nieces and nephews. He is survived by his sister Gina T. Prentice and sisters-in-law Aurora Cavaioli and Annette Bianchini. Burial with military honors was held in St. Leo's Cemetery, Leominster. |

Fred A. Person 1915 - 2008Fred A. Person, 92, of 225 Ridgewood Drive, Leominster, died June 7, 2008 in HealthAlliance-Leominster Hospital. He was born July 30, 1915 in Sterling, MA son of John and Alice (Tuttle) Person. Mr. Person was employed by Cluet-Peabody as a Payroll Manager for 38 years, and as an Accountant for the State of Massachusetts for 10 years. He had also served in the U,S. Army during WWII with the 1199th Engineer Base Depot Group, attaining the rating of Technician Fifth Grade. He received the Good Conduct Medal, Victory Medal, American Theater Campaign Ribbon, European African Middle Eastern Theater Campaign Ribbon.Mr. Person was a graduate of Leominster High School, where he played football. After his retirement he was a volunteer for 12 years with the Brain Injured Children, in Fitchburg, and also was a very active member of the No. 6 School house in Leominster. He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Yvonne (Colard) Person, His daughter MaryJane Person of Worcester, two sons James F. Person of Gardner and Jeffrey J. Person of Westminster,a sister Ellen Stuart of Sterling, five grandchildren John M. Person, Kris J. Person, Lindsay A. Morgan, Katherine Person, and Meghan Person. Burial with Military Honors was in Evergreen Cemetery. |
